Welcome to 801 Grand

The 801 Grand Building is the Highest Building in the State of Iowa

Since its completion in 1991, the 801 Grand Building has embodied the heart and soul of Des Moines, as well as become a symbol of strength and prestige within the community. The building rises 44 stories above downtown Des Moines, reaching a height of 630 feet at its highest point. It’s unique in its composition with over 200,000 square feet of stone (mined in Brazil and cut and polished in Italy) covering the exterior of the building, among other impressive stats.
